Bread Making
We are now offerring bread making courses in our farm-house kitchen, the next one is on the 17th May 2010. Hellie and Mike, (family friend and experienced baker) will guide you through the morning. Both enjoy simple, well made food produced from good ingredients, local if possible. Courses can be tailored for complete beginners, who could expect to make rustic white or brown bread and rolls along with Chelsea buns, through to the more experienced who could bake breads from around world e.g. ciabatta, focaccia, cottges loaves, plaits, pizza doughs and nan breads. Of course, if there is something you would paticularly like to bake please ask. A mornings baking costs £50 per person inclusive of all the ingredients and you get to take home your creations. We can cater for a maximum of 6 people per morning. Copies of recipes and methods used will also be provided for you to take home.
Mike and Hellie have recently shared their baking skills with the children in a local primary school and are keen to give young people this opportunity. Therefore they are offering family mornings, one adult with two children, costs £80. (minimum age 8). This process may be a little messier!
